The Formula Student Team “Hofspannung Motorsport e.V.” has developed a modern racing car that collects a large amount of telemetry data for performance monitoring and optimization during races. In order to analyze this telemetry data in real time, reliable and fast data transmission is essential, which also works securely on racetracks throughout Europe.
The FUSION IoT SIM cards are integrated into the race car’s telemetry unit. During the race, the telemetry system continuously collects data and sends it to the pit crew via the FUSION IoT SIM cards. The pit crew analyses the telemetry data received to make decisions on race strategy and vehicle set-up. Based on the telemetry data, immediate adjustments can be made to maximize the performance of the race car and identify potential problems at an early stage.
By using the IoT SIM cards, the Formula Student team can significantly improve the performance and reliability of their race car, make informed decisions and increase their competitiveness.
